However, just like the G range, the devices in the E lineup also seems to have been lost in the crowd. So can then, the newest offering in the series – the E6 Plus – change the game for Lenovo-owned brand? Well, it might be a little too early to say that, but what I can share with you is what the phone brings to the table. So without further ado, here’s the Moto E6 Plus hands on.

The Moto E6 Plus is the first handset in the series that offers dual rear cameras. Considering we’ve started seeing even triple cameras in this segment, it’s not all that surprising. Talking specs, the device features a 13-megapixel primary shooter that’s given company by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Interestingly, the camera app on the phone is different from the recent offerings from the brand’s stables, though it’s easy to get used to. You also get software-based aperture control, and that’s available for the front too. Speaking of that, the E6 Plus gets an 8MP selfie shooter.

The E6 Plus sports a 6.1-inch IPS display. Even though it features a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and has a waterdrop notch up top, the handset is far from being bezel-less. There are noticeably thick bezels at the bottom, and even at the top too. The phone features HD+ resolution, which is expected in this price segment and offers decent sharpness levels unless you start pixel peeping.

Moto E6 Plus design gallery1 of 6

The E6 Plus’ design language is quite conventional, though I did like the textured power button, making it quite easy to differentiate it from the volume keys. The back panel is quite attractive given its glossy nature, but it catches fingerprints like there’s no tomorrow. Even simply picking up the device would mean that it gets smudged, which means that you’ll have to keep a cleaning cloth handy or opt for a protective case. Along with the bright red paint job, it’s also available in an understated graphite colour.

Interestingly, the E6 Plus is among the rare set of phones that let you remove the rear cover, and that’s not all, you can remove the battery too. Here you’ll also find the SIM slot and a microSD card slot.

The Moto E6 Plus comes equipped with the Helio P22 octa-core processor, which should be able to handle basic tasks quite well. For multitasking, the device ships with 2GB or 4GB RAM, and depending upon the variant, you get 32GB or 64GB memory onboard.

Software-wise, the E6 Plus boots Android 9.0 Pie in its stock avatar. A 3,000mAh battery rounds up the spec sheet. While Motorola’s optimisations should see the smartphone lasting a day of use, it may not be able to match the competition which offers as much as 4,000mAh cells.

The Moto E6 Plus has been priced at €139 in Europe. If the smartphone launches at this price in India, then it would get bashed quite easily, and even at a lower price point, it may not find the going easy.

“The Moto E6 Plus is the first phone in the lineup to offer dual rear cameras” While Motorola’s G series is heralded as the one that changed our notion about…

[3
46,371,424,267
post-2872","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-first-impressions","tag-first-impressions","tag-ifa-2019","tag-moto-e6-plus","tag-motorola
["GET
